"Everything went like a dream".

"I'm on cloud nine. To win my first professional stage at the Tour de Suisse with the leader's jersey on my shoulders is just incredible. I'm feeling great right now. I've got the best legs of my life, so I wanted to make the most of them by taking risks to get away from the other leaders. I didn't want to wait in the pack! The whole team did an incredible job of putting me in the best possible position before my attack with 20 kilometers to go with Mikael (Cherel). He did an incredible job. After that, it was like a dream when he finished the job. In the earpiece, Cyril (Dessel) was telling me not to let up as I continued to extend my lead. I stayed focused until the last few meters before realizing that I was going to win solo. I can't believe it. It's going to take me a while to realize what's just happened!
I've got the yellow jersey now and I want to keep it for as long as possible. It won't be easy with the final time trial on Sunday. To keep the momentum going, I need to maintain the same daring spirit. If I feel I can attack, especially tomorrow on stage 5, I won't deprive myself! I don't want to stop here.

"The whole team did an incredible job!

Geoffrey Bouchard out for the Tour de France

Geoffrey Bouchard underwent further tests following his crash on stage 4 of the Critérium du Dauphiné on June 7, which revealed a fracture of the right scaphoid. "This requires strict immobilization for 45 days", explains Dr. Serge Niamke, medical manager for the AG2R CITROËN team. He will therefore be unable to take part in the Tour de France.

Felix Gall's first professional victory of his career was the AG2R CITROËN team's 6th win of the season, and the second of the year in a UCI World Tour event after Aurélien Paret-Peintre's victory on stage 4 of the Giro d'Italia.

Geoffrey Bouchard's victory, the first of his professional career, is the fourth win of the season for the AG2R CITROEN team.
Ben O'Connor won the third stage of the Volta ciclista y Catalunya and the Tour du Jura and Marc Sarreau won Cholet-Pays de Loire. This is the 496th victory for the team since its creation in 1992.
