Bruno Armirail

"I wanted this victory".

"It's my third title and I'm always delighted. All the more so as this year it was very much up for grabs. My aim was to win and I've done it, I'm very happy. I had bet on a fast start and it paid off, then I had to hold on to the finish line, despite the strong competition. It's also a great result for the team, with Paul coming 3rd. At 18, that's already a great achievement. I think there will be many more great battles and victories for him in the future. I'm now going to recuperate to be in good shape for the Tour de France, where I'll have the pleasure of wearing this jersey on home soil in the Pyrenees."

Paul Seixas

"I surprise myself every day

"It was the longest time trial I've ever done in my life. I had good sensations and I managed to manage my effort well, thanks in particular to the preparation I did with the team and my coach. We worked on the details that enabled me to take third place by just a few seconds. I pushed myself and didn't give up. In the end, it was a nice surprise and I'm very happy to share the podium with Bruno, who richly deserves this victory. I'm now looking forward to the road race on Sunday, where I hope I can help the team to a second victory in these championships."
