BOB JUNGELS: "It's incredible

"This is amazing! I don't know what to say. Winning a stage in the Tour de France was a dream after the last few years of hard work. I'm very happy for me but also for the team. I know it means a lot to them.
The last kilometers were very long but I knew that the victory was close and that I had to stay focused. Today I took all the risks and it paid off. I am very grateful to the AG2R CITROËN team and to all those who have believed in me over the last few months. I'm back to my best and it feels really good.

VINCENT LAVENU: "An immense happiness

"It's a great joy after a very difficult start to the Tour de France with the misfortunes of Ben O'Connor and Geoffrey Bouchard. Bob is a great champion and he raced like he knows how. In the last few months, he has returned to his former level. We needed this to boost the whole team and to validate the work of all our staff and partners. This is the AG2R CITROËN team's 21st victory in the Tour de France and these are always exceptional moments to be experienced with great emotion. You have to appreciate and enjoy them. This victory after a solo raid of more than 60 kilometers will go down in the team's history."

BRUNO ANGLES Managing Director of AG2R LA MONDIAL

"On behalf of the directors and employees of AG2R LA MONDIALE, I would like to congratulate Bob Jungels and our entire team for this magnificent performance and for the intense emotions we experienced throughout this fantastic stage! We are extremely proud that our riders carry our values of solidarity and performance so high. We all follow each stage with great fervor and we hope that this victory will call for others. "We're not giving up!"

VINCENT COBEE, CEO of CITROËN

"Bob Jungels put in an exceptional performance, winning with panache and courage after a solo breakaway of more than 60km. His return to the highest level after a difficult 2021 season illustrates his resilience, worthy of a great champion. This victory is a great source of pride for all of us and I warmly congratulate Bob Jungels and Vincent Lavenu on behalf of the men and women of CITROËN. This great victory shows how strong the fighting spirit and the desire to win remain within the team, and we are at their side to support them.
