Felix Gall

"A stage win will be my main motivation over the next three weeks".

"The first stages of the Tour are always tricky and very nervous. With a solid team around me, the first objective will be to get through the first week without a hitch. Setting off on a Grand Tour with a general classification objective is never easy: we'll take the race day by day, see where we stand before the mountains and adjust the objectives accordingly. The general classification won't be my first objective, but a stage win will be my main motivation during these three weeks. If that victory comes from a breakaway, it could enable me to gain precious places in the overall classification. We reconnoitred the Col de la Loze stage during the training camp, and it brought back some very fond memories. It's clearly a stage that will have a special flavour for me. I'm feeling really good, and I had an excellent training camp at Arc 1950. It was nice to gain confidence at the Tour de Suisse and finish on a high note, so I feel ready. We'll have a very strong team for the mountains and breakaways. We showed, particularly at the Tour de Suisse and Critérium du Dauphiné, that we're a really strong team."

"Adopt an offensive strategy

"The Grand Départ de Lille is an important event for the team. With three of our partners from this region: Decathlon, La Mondiale and Van Rysel, we'll be expected to be there. Our aim is to adopt an offensive strategy and go for a stage win. To achieve this, we'll be able to rely on our puncheurs in the first week, then on the best climbers in the squad as we approach the Pyrenees and the Alps. Unlike last year, when we raced defensively, we're hoping that a good overall place for Felix Gall will come from his breakaway attempts. Felix is one of the best climbers in the peloton, he's confident and will be keen to repeat his performance of 2023 (a stage win in Courchevel on the queen stage)."
