Vincent Lavenu
"Two riders who are writing the history of our training".
"I am very happy and proud to see Benoît Cosnefroy and Nans Peters extend their contracts with our AG2R CITROËN team for the next two seasons. They are both riders who grew up in the AG2R CITROËN team before going on to blossom in the professional ranks, becoming internationally renowned riders . Benoît and Nans are boys who will write the history of our training program, not only with their track record but also with their ties to our Alpine roots.
We know that Benoît is a talented rider . His qualities as a puncheur have enabled him to win some major races, and I'm convinced that he'll continue to add to his list of achievements over the next two seasons. It was very important for us to see him continue his adventure with us.
As for Nans, his experience is invaluable to our team. He's a rider who perfectly conveys the team's values, thanks to his selflessness and sense of sacrifice for his leaders. He's also a courageous and brilliant person, capable of winning great races when the opportunity arises.
The extension of these two riders bodes very well for the coming seasons for our team."
Benoît Cosnefroy
"The ambitious project convinced me".
"The ambitious project presented by Vincent Lavenu and the coaching staff for the coming seasons has convinced me to continue the adventure. I'm about to enter the best years of my career, and I'll certainly be keen to shine for the AG2R CITROËN team.
Our training will be as ambitious as ever, and I want to continue to be part of this collective. Since I joined AG2R CITROËN in 2017, I've found my true bearings. The repeated expressions of confidence over the years have enabled me to win some great races. The story isn't over yet, and I'm convinced that we still have the best to write together."
Nans Peters
"Proud to continue making history
"I'm delighted to be joining the AG2R CITROËN team for the next two seasons. It's a very exciting project and I was obviously keen to be part of it.
Since the junior ranks, the team's history has endured. Naturally, I'm very attached to its history and very proud to continue writing it. Over the seasons, my role has evolved, and I'm as enthusiastic as ever about achieving the goals set by the team. I've found my balance by putting myself at the service of my leaders in the mountains, while also having the opportunity to play my personal card from time to time."
