"We can compete with the best teams".
"It was a good race, we're pleased with the result, especially as we set off with a young but ambitious team. At the start of the race, we may not have been as confident as if we'd had Ben O'Connor in the team (he was replaced by Sander De Pestel), but we had our teeth into it. We did really well on the placements, and that made the difference.
However, the day had started badly because I had a puncture very early on and found myself in a bind. I was in a group of around thirty riders riders who weren't working very well together. I made an effort to catch up with the pack, but that clearly put me in the red for 30 kilometers.
In the final, the boys placed me very well, along with Andrea Vendrame. We were hoping that Nicolas Prodhomme would be able to catch Oier Lazkano, who was alone in the lead, but that didn't happen. So behind, with a small group, we came back on Nicolas, who rode, and I settled the counter-attack sprint to finish2nd. Unfortunately we didn't win, but it shows that we're clearly up to scratch and can compete with the top teams."

News: Nicolas Prodhomme finishes 5th
After a long breakaway, Nicolas Prudhomme finished5th in the Clásica Jaén Paraiso Interior, in the same group as Bastien Tronchon, 28" behind winner Oier Lazkano: "I'm very happy with my race, but Oier Lazkano was really strong. I tried to manage my breakaway well so as to make the least effort and stay in contact with him for as long as possible. With 20 kilometers to go, he took over less strongly and I thought he was very tired, but I was bluffing. So I attacked, but he came back quite quickly and countered me."
