A strategy for the future
The 2025 season marks a key stage in the strategy of the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE team, with the extension of the contracts of several executives and the arrival of new talent. This balance between experience and youth reflects the desire to build a solid, competitive team for the years to come.
Dominique Serieys
"A vision for the coming years
"It's a strategy we've studied with a vision for the coming years, and we wanted to give priority to renewing the riders already present in the team. I'm thinking of Stan Dewulf, Pierre Gautherat, Aurélien Paret-Peintre and Nicolas Prodhomme, who are now part of the team's management team, bringing stability to the team. With a view to strengthening the team to meet the specific needs of the Grand Tours and classics, we have concentrated our recruitment on four riders . Two young Norwegians, Tord Gudmestad and Johannes Staune-Mittet, recruited respectively for the mass sprints and general classifications. But also more experienced riders with Callum Scotson and time trial specialist Stefan Bissegger."

Stan Dewulf (2025-2026)
"They're my favourite team
"I'm very happy with the trust placed in me. It's my team at heart, and I feel very much at home here. It embodies a family spirit with values of respect, discipline and a job well done, while at the same time allowing me to enjoy good times with my team-mates. This family aspect, combined with performance, thanks in particular to the new top-level equipment, represents the ideal combo for me. All the means are at my disposal to progress and perform.
Pierre Gautherat (2025-2027)
"The team renews its confidence in me".
"I'm really pleased to be able to continue my adventure with DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE, as the team has renewed its confidence in me. I can continue training with peace of mind, which means I can concentrate on preparing for next year's objectives. It's an advantage and a source of pride to be able to continue with this team, which has been with me since junior level. I hope, in the future, to be able to bring some great results to thank them for their trust."
Aurélien Paret-Peintre (2025-2027)
"It was important for me to stay".
"I'm very happy to be continuing for the next three years, and I have every confidence in the team and our partners, who have given us a new impetus. It's a structure that suits me, with people I like, both my team-mates and the staff. So it was important for me to stay. One of the most important keys to continuing to perform is the environment. With our new performance center, I feel really comfortable and confident."
Nicolas Prodhomme (2025-2026)
"That was my main wish
"I'm delighted to be able to continue the adventure with DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE. It was my main wish, and the fact that I've signed for two more years is a testament to the team's confidence in me, and to the great projects that lie ahead. This extension also gives me the peace of mind I need to concentrate fully on my preparation, with clear objectives in mind for the coming seasons."

"Taking on new challenges
"I'm really looking forward to the next two years with DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE. The team has performed very well recently and I'm motivated to contribute to its success. I've been part of the same team for my entire professional career and I feel ready for a change of environment and new challenges."
Johannes Staune-Mittet (2025-2027)
"Become the best rider I can be"
"Obviously, I'm very excited! I have to say I'm really grateful to the team for trusting me with this opportunity. This project offers me a great chance to improve in the best possible way, and I'm looking forward to being part of it, meeting all the new people and learning how the team works. I chose DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE to keep improving, and I think it's the best place to do that. My long-term goal is to keep growing and become the best rider I can be.
