Nicolas Prodhomme
"I'm happy to offer this victory to my team-mates".
"My career has taken a new turn in the last few weeks, which is exceptional. My victories in the Tour of the Alps and the Giro have given me a lot of confidence, of course, but I also feel that I've improved physically. My role within the team has also evolved, and I'm listened to more, which is positive. Today, I knew that we'd have to ride fast to go for victory, so I insisted on taking part in the breakaway, which would allow us to play to our strengths, as we have some very good rollers. Thanks to the team's hard work, Sander managed to get out in front and set a good pace for the others, which put me in the best possible position as we entered the final difficulties. There's still one stage to go tomorrow, but I'm happy with what we've done today and I'm delighted to be able to thank my team-mates for their great work in winning."
