Clément Venturini: "Happy to be back at the front
"We were keen to make up for last weekend's failure to finish on the podium. We took the race on our own with a great job from Anthony Jullien throughout the day. In the final, it was unbridled and I made some unnecessary efforts. That's the only small regret I have. It's still a good result, I'm happy to be back at the front.
The sensations came back quickly after my injury but it is not by chance, I gave myself the means to do it.
Tomorrow is another day with the Boucles de l'Aulne, a race that also suits me well. I've already finished on the podium (third in 2016) so I hope to play the leading roles again."

For his comeback, Greg Van Avermaet finished fifth in the Tour du Finistère. He had not started a race since Paris-Roubaix on April 17.
After the Tour du Finistère, Clément Venturini is in third place in the overall French Cup standings.
"The French Cup standings can become a guiding light for the second half of the season if I can get good results in the next few rounds, starting with the Boucles de l'Aulne tomorrow," Venturini said.
The AG2R CITROËN team is leading the team classification.

Mikael Chérel took 28th place in the fourteenth stage of the Giro d'Italia. He moved up five places in the overall classification (24th).
"We tried several times, Nans took a nice breakaway but the contenders for the overall had decided to go to war today. We tried and we will try again tomorrow with the same desire," said Didier Jannel, sports director of the AG2R CITROËN team.
