"I'm disappointed with this second place because I really wanted to bring this win back to the team. Casper Pedersen was just very strong and very fit. There was no opening. But I had fun. The team took responsibility. We were enterprising during the whole race. From the first track, we wanted to make the difference with Romain. We really took the race in the right direction and that's why I'm disappointed. It's a great classics campaign that is coming to an end for me and I'm happy to finish the season on the podium."

Romain Bardet will participate in the Ronde
Seventh in Paris-Tours, Romain Bardet will compete in the Tour of Flanders next Sunday, for his last race in the colors of AG2R LA MONDIALE.
