"The two riders in front were out of reach, I knew I had to be patient and I managed my climb as best I could. It's a pleasure to fight with riders of this calibre! My season ends tonight, I knew I had to give it my all. I have good memories in Italy this year (winner of the 17th stage of the Giro), but for my third professional season I remember that I have reached a new level. I continue my progression and I hope that it will continue next year.

End of career for Hubert Dupont
After 1199 days of racing and 182,961 kilometers (source: ProCyclingStats), Hubert Dupont ended his professional career today: "It was a fun day. I had already ridden a lot in the area and with an RCS organization, I felt like I was at the Giro, at home! There are a lot of memories that came back! My career is over, but I'm not going to stop riding with my friends! But just for fun!"
