BENOIT COSNEFROY: "A great team to take over

"We were always in the right motion. Collectively, we started the race the way we wanted to. We controlled things. I attacked on the route des crêtes after good work from Quentin Jaurégui and François Bidard. The race started well. I knew I had very good legs and behind me we had Clément Venturini, who was able to control the peloton. We had a lot of cards, so we might as well have had an unbridled race. In the final, I was perhaps more wary of Tom Devriendt.
He is a friend of Oliver (Naesen), I met him this winter in Spain during training and I know he has a good speed. I spent three weeks in training in January, my goals are further away but I wanted to win in February.
I wanted to launch my season, that of the team. Now we're heading for Bessèges, where we can be ambitious"[/su_quote].
