[su_quote cite=Geoffrey Bouchard] "When Laurent Fignon won this jersey (1984), I was not yet born. Few Frenchmen have won this ranking, I am aware that it is not insignificant. I don't realize it yet, I think it will take me a few more days. I took the jersey on the evening of the ninth stage. That day, I was very disappointed to have been caught 400 meters from the line and the jersey was not an objective. I went for the points patiently and I didn't want to give it up, I consolidated it day after day. I had a great day at the front with Andrea Vendrame (winner of stage 12) and from that moment on, we raced without pressure. After the Vuelta (2019), I am proud to bring back this jersey for my third Grand Tour. I'm starting to have a nice collection!"[/su_quote]
