Felix Gall

"I don't have the words"

"It's incredible. I'm at a loss for words. Since the beginning of the year, I've been happy with what I've achieved. To perform in the Tour de France and win the queen stage... it's fabulous.

After taking over the leadership role, I concentrated every day on doing the best I could. It was stressful, but I felt really good every day, and even better since the start of the third week.

I didn't think the breakaway was going to fight for victory today, but I wanted to anticipate a little. Nans (Peters) and Ben (O'Connor) did a great job. I waited for the big climbs and decided to give it my all. In the final, I was afraid of being caught again, but I managed to hold on - what a joy!

I want to say thank you to the AG2R CITROËN team. It has given me so much since last year."

"Felix was extraordinary

"I feel very proud. We shared a great moment of happiness with all those who work all year long to achieve such performances, whether in the field or in the race department, and with our partners who have supported us faithfully for a long time.
Felix was extraordinary. This stage revealed a great rider. We knew of his talent, which we helped to nurture. We manage to find riders who bring us great joy.
Ben O'Connor did an extraordinary job in maintaining the gap to the yellow jersey. Before that, Nans Peters had done a colossal job. The whole team contributed to this victory. These are unique moments.
