"It's incredible. I'm at a loss for words. Since the beginning of the year, I've been happy with what I've achieved. To perform in the Tour de France and win the queen stage... it's fabulous.
After taking over the leadership role, I concentrated every day on doing the best I could. It was stressful, but I felt really good every day, and even better since the start of the third week.
I didn't think the breakaway was going to fight for victory today, but I wanted to anticipate a little. Nans (Peters) and Ben (O'Connor) did a great job. I waited for the big climbs and decided to give it my all. In the final, I was afraid of being caught again, but I managed to hold on - what a joy!

Still winning the Tour de France since 2020
Felix Gall's victory is the 22nd for the AG2R CITROËN team in the Tour de France.
Since 2020, the team has always won a stage in the Tour, with Nans Peters (2020), Ben O'Connor (2021), Bob Jungels (2022) and Felix Gall (2023).

The number
The victory of Felix Gall, who also won stage 4 of the Tour de Suisse, is the seventh for the AG2R CITROËN team this season.
Aurélien Paret-Peintre won stage 4 of the Giro d'Italia and stage 3 of the Tour des Alpes Maritimes et du Var, Nans Peters the Trofeo Laigueglia, Dorian Godon the Flèche Brabançonne and Greg Van Avermaet the Boucles de l'Aulne.
Felix Gall climbs to 8th place overall and is second in the best climber classification, 6 points behind the leader.
