Alex Baudin

"A good omen for the rest of the season.

"I'm happy to come second, but disappointed not to be able to bring the team their first win of the season. She rode at the front of the pack all day, so it's more for my team-mates that I'm disappointed. I felt very strong on the route des Crêtes. After launching my attack, I had to wait for Kevin Geniets to come back, because it would have been almost impossible to go all the way. The two of us got on really well. I was hoping to beat him in the sprint, even though I knew it was going to be complicated. It bodes well for the rest of the season. I'm in good shape and I know I'm not far from being able to win a race.

"Disappointed for my team-mates not to have won.
