BEN O'CONNOR: "Satisfied with my recovery

"It was a stage with no down time, very difficult. I had to be smart not to lose strength too early. I was dropped near the top of the Madonna pass. When I came back, I managed to escape but I didn't know that Brambilla was in front. Fortunately I did not win the sprint because I would have raised my arms as if I had won. I am really satisfied with my first two races and the atmosphere in the team."[/su_quote]

Ben O'Connor finished sixth overall. Clément Champoussin, who was riding on his training roads today, took 12th place in the stage and 11th overall. "I knew all the roads. It was really hard because it went fast and it didn't unplug. I'm happy with my condition for my comeback," said Clément Champoussin.
