Bruno Angles, General Manager of AG2R LA MONDIALE, Vincent Cobée, General Manager of CITROËN and Vincent Lavenu, General Manager of the cycling team, unveiled today the composition of AG2R CITROËN TEAM 2023. In the presence of Benoît Cosnefroy, Aurélien Paret-Peintre, Bastien Tronchon and Greg Van Avermaet, they presented the team's ambitions for this new season, which will be placed under the sign of the collective, youth and combativeness.

Vincent Lavenu,
General Manager of AG2R CITROËN TEAM

"Finish in the top ten teams in the world".

"We're coming off a 2022 season that was special because our team was often unlucky: several second places, numerous falls from riders and the Covid-19 outbreak. But we never gave up. These values of fighting spirit, dear to our team, have allowed us to achieve great successes such as our stage victory in the Tour de France and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec.
In 2023, we want to have a very good Tour de France with the objective of winning a stage and being in a good position in the general classification. It will also be important to improve our number of victories, so we hope to obtain between 15 and 20. We want to finish in the top ten teams in the world and why not win a Monument. We are dreaming about it, especially since we have not come far in the last few years.

Bruno Angles,
Chief Executive Officer of AG2R LA MONDIALE

"Together we are stronger

"We are very proud of the AG2R CITROËN team and have every confidence that it will offer us magnificent victories in 2023 and be in the top 10 in the World Tour rankings! This season will also be marked by youth, with 12 riders under 25 years of age, including three new recruits from the training center, which has developed many talents. I am sure that they will bring a lot of enthusiasm, strength and dazzle. We will always be behind them to encourage them at every step. We will not give up!"

Vincent Cobée,
Chief Executive Officer of CITROËN

"The team is showing unwavering solidarity"

"2022 has been a year filled with ups and downs. What I remember most is the team spirit and the brotherhood that animates our riders. The dynamic between them and their understanding make me convinced that this year again, our riders will have brilliant performances on the biggest races of the calendar.
I am very confident about the potential of the team and its ability to win great victories. The team is already very close and shows a strong sense of solidarity.
This season, I expect to see even more fighting spirit and resilience from riders during the different events. I am hopeful that the team will shine in even more races than last year."
