"It's my first victory in the Giro d'Italia and my first with AG2R CITROËN TEAM, it's just incredible. I'm Italian, I'm winning my national Tour, this is the biggest day of my career.
The first goal of the day was to get as many points as possible for Geoffrey in the mountain classification. And we succeeded. On the final, I wanted to anticipate to make a selection. I saw that I could win. When I attacked, Geoffrey was talking to me on the radio, encouraging me. This victory is also for him. Another Giro is starting, we have won and now we will do everything to do it again.

Bouchard is collecting
Sixth of the stage (his best performance this season and in the UCI World Tour), Geoffrey Bouchard increased his lead in the mountain classification. Before the thirteenth stage, which was not difficult, he now has 96 points.
