The DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE team announces the arrival of its 30th rider : Edvald Boasson Hagen. The Norwegian rider has signed on for one season.

Edvald Boasson Hagen

"Happy to be joining a team that is part of cycling history".

"I'm really happy to have had the opportunity to join the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE team. It's part of cycling history and a very solid team. I joined the group two days ago for the second training camp in Spain (January 9-18). It's an opportunity for me to meet my team-mates and the staff, and to get to know my new equipment.

I've come to reinforce the spring classics group with the aim of helping the team achieve the best possible results. I also want to pass on all my experience to the younger riders riders and win one last professional race."

Vincent Lavenu

"Strengthening the group of classics from Flanders".

"It's a great opportunity for the team to integrate Edvald Boasson Hagen. Edvald has a great deal of experience and has won many races (81). I've been following him since he was an amateur, when he was already a step ahead of the other competitors.
His mission is very clear: to reinforce the classics group. His experience will be invaluable in placing our leaders at the right moment, but also in the massive sprints where he will be able to take Sam Bennett's train into the final kilometers of the race."
