"The E3 Saxo Bank Classic and Gent-Wevelgem are two very nice classics. I'm looking forward to it, especially after missing Milano-Sanremo (sick) which is an important race for me. The E3 Saxo Bank Classic is the most difficult classic of the year and I think the sequence of bumps suits me well. In the last few years I've always managed to be in the leading group, so I hope the streak will continue.
In Gent-Wevelgem, I am a little less in control of my destiny but anything is possible in a sprint after such a long day (249km). I have a few questions about my form after the flu that forced me to abandon Paris-Nice, but I am motivated to achieve great things with the AG2R CITROËN team."[/su_quote]

Oliver Naesen and Greg Van Avermaet have finished in the top 10 in the last four editions of the E3 Saxo Bank Classic. Oliver Naesen finished 3rd in 2017, 4th in 2018 and 2021 and 8th in 2019. Greg Van Avermaet won in 2017, took 3rd in 2018 and 2019 and 6th in 2021.
