"I did a refresher course at altitude after the Critérium du Dauphiné, which enabled me to push myself even harder in preparation for the French time trial championship. It represents a title and a blue-white-red jersey for a year, which is important. It's a discipline I really enjoy, because I like the solo effort and the way you have to manage the exercise. I'll be reconnoitring the course this afternoon and tomorrow. I've already analyzed it on paper, and I find it interesting. It's similar to the time trial at the Critérium du Dauphiné, which I finished in eighth place and first Frenchman, with roughly the same distance, fairly flat at the start and then harder and harder. I'll need to have good legs on the day.
