"I felt that the sensations were good for some time. I had been riding around a bit (5th in Binche-Chimay-Binche, 4th in Paris-Tours) from a good performance. The circuit was difficult but we had a good race together. When I go out with 8 kilometers to go, I prefer to anticipate a sprint finish. I'm really happy to take this first victory with the AG2R CITROËN team jersey. We had a great weekend together and we finish the season with victories in the French Cup (general, youth, team). We couldn't have dreamed of anything better. And for me, winning the last race of the season allows me to start my break with a big desire for next year."[/su_quote]
Dorian Godon: "A source of pride
"When I turned professional (in 2017), I never imagined that I could win the overall French Cup. When you see the riders on the prize list, it's a real pride. I am very happy. After the Tour de France, I managed to stay mobilized. Stan's victory today is the best way to end this season. The Coupe de France suits me, there is often a lot of movement and I like that. The team victory is also a reward for the whole group. We are the best team in France, that's not a small thing"[/su_quote].
