Victor Lafay
"A WorldTour podium is exceptional".
"I'm super happy with what we've done this week with the team. We've been focused on every stage, whether it's competing for sprints or the overall classification. We raced as we should. Once again today, the team did a great job to enable me to try and go for victory. On the last lap, I took my chance and nobody followed me. We tried a last stint with Nans (Peters), but we also had to think about preserving second place. A podium finish in a WorldTour race is exceptional. I've been lucky enough to taste victory in the past, so to be so close is always a little frustrating, but I'm satisfied to end the season with a performance of this level."
