"You have to enjoy it

"I'm very happy with this podium. For me, as a team member most of the time, it's great to get a result when I'm given a chance. You have to enjoy it.
The Tour de l'Ain is a race I enjoy and know well. It was my third participation in as many seasons with the professionals.
It was a slow start on Saturday (July 29) at the Donostia San Sebastian Klasikoa, but I've been feeling better and better over the last three days. On Tuesday, my sixth place in the second stage gave me confidence. And today, I managed to attack with five kilometers to go, take fifth place and grab the two seconds that put me on the overall podium.
In the final, Jaakko (Hänninen) could also have taken his chance, but he chose to ride for me. The team did a great job on this Tour de l'Ain and I'd like to thank them for it.
I've made progress every year since I joined the AG2R CITROËN team. A result like this proves to me that I shouldn't have any complexes. I want to keep up this momentum and take risks to do even better. It makes me dream.
