So obviously, for all these reasons, we want to shine. Our classics campaign hasn't lived up to our expectations since the beginning of the season, but we'll be there to give it our all and perform. It's such an uncertain race that anything can happen.

Pierre Gautherat, the youngest French rider at the start
At 20 years and 76 days old, Pierre Gautherat will be the youngest French rider rider at the start of the Ronde van Vlaanderen this Sunday. The rider of the AG2R CITROËN team has been successful since the beginning of the season with two top 10 finishes: 7th in Samyn and 9th in Cholet - Pays de la Loire.

Greg van Avermaet has been on the podium four times at the Ronde van Vlaanderen. The Belgian rider of the AG2R CITROËN team has finished second twice (2014 and 2017) and third twice (2015 and 2021). He will be participating in the event for the 16th time in his career.
