Already committed since 2017, the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE team and Oliver Naesen confirm their willingness to continue the adventure together for the next two years.
Oliver Naesen has gradually established himself as one of the team's leaders, particularly in one-day races and the cobbled classics, where he has demonstrated great consistency. He has become a road captain capable of guiding not only his leaders, but also the whole group, in major stage races such as Paris-Nice, the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour de France.
Since joining the team, Oliver Naesen has won the Belgian championship, the Bretagne Classic and finished 2nd in Milan-Sanremo.

"DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE was the obvious choice to continue.
"I didn't ask myself any questions and quickly made it clear that I wanted to stay with the team. I'm very happy to be evolving in this environment. We have big ambitions for the coming years and everything is in place to enable us to perform at the highest level. I know I'll also be able to count on top-quality equipment from Decathlon and Van Rysel. This was very important for me, as mechanics is a very important aspect of today's cycling. I've done a lot of great races under the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE colors. I'm very proud of that and I want to continue to bring the team great results and help my teammates, through my role as captain, on the biggest races as a leader or protector with calm, serenity and commitment."
