Jaakko Hänninen: "Working for the team

"It was hard to accept to leave the Vuelta a Espana because of the Covid-19. I was feeling really good at the Tour de l'Ain and I was looking forward to this grand tour. I had some bad luck this year but I was hoping to have a good end of season. With a crash and the Covid-19, it did not happen as expected.
However, I only want to retain the positive and my performance at the Tour de l'Ain shows that I can do great things. I want to work well for the team in the last races of the season and then turn the page to open the 2023 season.
I was a little bit tired with the virus but the sensations are coming back little by little. The Grand Prix de Wallonie is a good race to start again. It's a typical Belgian course with steep roads and a difficult finish. We will have some good cards to play with the AG2R CITROËN team."[/su_quote]
