"It was incredibly hot all day, and I didn't really feel good until the last climb, when I started to get my legs back. It's always a bit risky to attack early in the heat, but I wanted to give it a go and see what happens. I'm happy to be here with my legs like this, because it's not easy to recover after the Tour de France. I'm here to enjoy the race and get back to feeling good.
