Bastien Tronchon

"This photo finish is better with two people".

"It was a crazy day, and I immediately saw that I had a great feeling, with the punch I'd regained after the Ardennaises. My aim was to get ahead of the pack in the final stages so as to find a good group and be less affected by the race, and that's what I managed to do. I found myself a bit alone at the front at times, but I always remained calm despite the ups and downs of the race. We were able to capitalize on the weekend's good results by revising our objectives upwards and deciding to aim for victory at the pre-race briefing. We also showed, with Pierre (Gautherat), that the team was really solid by taking the first two places on the podium. I'm really happy to be able to do the double with him, because we managed to open up the gap in the final stages, and this photo finish is much nicer with two of us."

The number

Like the number of one-twos in three days of racing on Brittany's roads. Following Aubin Sparfel and Bastien Tronchon's one-two finish at the Tour du Finistère, Pierre Gautherat's second place at the Tro Bro Leon was another double, bringing the Breton weekend to a fitting close.
