Damien Touzé: "Nothing to regret

"As expected, we had a very hard and physical race. We managed to be at the front with Geoffrey. When I saw the riders in the breakaway, I knew we could go very far. We managed our day well. There's nothing to regret today, we came up against someone stronger than us. I was in trouble in the penultimate bump, Geoffrey did a great job. He waited for me so that we could both go home. This is my second medal on a French championship (3rd in 2019), I wanted to bring back the title for the team but I have no regrets."[/su_quote] [su_quote cite=Vincent Lavenu]

Vincent Lavenu: "The team fought well"

"We came here for the title, but we're still happy with this nice bronze medal for Damien. He was present in the first breakaway and he showed that he was a Championship man. The team behaved well overall. Damien and Geoffrey Bouchard have been elements at the front on which we could count on. Benoît Cosnefroy was very offensive, without managing to get in. Today we saw an AG2R CITROËN team that fought hard and stood together. This podium is a reward for that"[/su_quote].

The number

9

Oliver Naesen finished ninth in the Belgian Championship. "We had an intensive and long day as always on a Championship. In the final, the first three went out, but unfortunately we couldn't follow with Greg Van Avermaet. The result is a bit disappointing, I finally take ninth place."
