"The time trial was difficult, there was a lot of wind. We were getting swept from right to left, but you had to hold the bike steady and push hard on the pedals. I got off to a fast start, as there was a headwind at the start and then a side wind. In terms of power, I rode a very decent time trial, so I couldn't have done much better today. I'm happy to be in the top 10, I've honoured my French time trial champion's jersey."

Aurélien Paret-Peintre finished seventh on stage six of the Tour of Poland, in the same group as winner Thibau Nys and leader Jonas Vingegaard. The Haut-Savoyard moved up three places in the overall classification, where he now occupies thirteenth position on the eve of the final finish.
