Cyril Dessel

"A winning spirit throughout the week".

"We knew how to respond! Firstly, to position Bastien as our designated leader, and secondly, collectively, as everyone fulfilled their role during this week's racing. Paul (Lapeira), as road captain, played an important role in managing the automatisms between his team-mates, Noa (Isidore), who was racing in his first WorldTour race, Dorian (Godon), who came in for a top 10 finish in the sprint on stage 4, Geoffrey (Bouchard), who slipped into the breakaways, in short a great week of racing around our leader. Bastien took on the role of leader, which was new to him. He showed great skill throughout the week, particularly on Willunga Hill. I'd like to pay tribute to riders 's winning spirit throughout the week. Well done to them."

Bastien Tronchon

"It was a big goal for me".

"Assuming a leadership role in the WorldTour, on a stage race, was no mean feat. It's a mark of confidence from the team and it was a big goal for me. Throughout my preparation, I made sure I did everything right. The whole week went well with the team, and I owe a lot to them. We had a very solid team, and they were there for me, to the millimetre, all week, and I think it's largely thanks to them that I've achieved a good result. My profile as a puncheur matches the efforts of the Tour Down Under. The top-10 target was ambitious, but far from unattainable. The level in the WorldTour is very high, as we saw again this year, when there was a big field. I'm ahead of quite a few riders riders who can be scary at the start of a race, and I'm pretty proud of that. This will give me confidence for the start of the season.

The number

Like Bastien Tronchon's overall place in the Tour Down Under, after Ben O'Connor's sixth place in 2023, we have to go back to 2009 and Martin Elmiger's fourth place to find a better team result.
