Buoyed by his first professional victory in the Tour du Finistère and a superb season with the Continentale team, Aubin Sparfel has extended his contract for a further three seasons. He will officially join the DECATHLON CMA CGM WorldTour squad in 2027, after a final season with the Continentale team.

Aubin Sparfel

"A project that suits me

"I'm very happy to be continuing with the team that saw me grow up. Making my WorldTour debut with them was the next logical step and I'm delighted. I've been with NewGen for three seasons, with some experience in the pros - including my first win. I'll be staying with the team for another year, then joining the WorldTour in 2027 for a further two years. This extension is a mark of confidence and proof that the project suits me. The team is offering me the chance to race cyclo-cross for the next three years, with dedicated support. It's a real opportunity to achieve high goals, and I'd like to thank them for it. My main objectives for the 2026 season will be the U23 world titles in cyclo-cross and road racing. It's proof that the training system is working well: we're climbing the ladder little by little, whether it's for the boys with whom I rode in the juniors or for myself."

Sébastien Joly

"A rider essential to the team's sporting project".

"Aubin will be an invaluable asset to the team over the next three seasons, and we're delighted to have him on board. It's rare to have a rider from the Continentale team win a professional race like he did this year. It shows just how good he is. Aubin's extension symbolizes the strong link between NewGen and the WorldTour team, which enables us to rely on a solid workforce and to develop our young riders by guiding them towards the highest level. Aubin has the potential to become a very good classics rider , and also has plenty of room for improvement in the mountains and stage races, so we have a lot of faith in him."

Guillaume Bonnafond

"Accompany him in the best possible way to help him achieve his goals".

"Aubin is a rider who knows how to set goals, and we want to support him as best we can to help him achieve them. His extension with the Continental team will enable him to prepare for these events and continue to progress in an environment in which he thrives. His calendar will be adapted accordingly, with the possibility of performing well in the U23 classics. His qualities as a puncher, his ambition and determination will enable him to become an excellent rider on the big WorldTour classics in the future, and we're looking forward to it."
