"The Tour of Flanders is a very special race. The atmosphere at the start in Antwerp is exceptional. My first two participations (2020 and 2021) were without spectators on the course so I'm looking forward to seeing what it will be like with people. The classics are races that I like and we have a collective to do something good this year. We will do everything we can to match Greg's (Van Avermaet) third place last year. I really enjoy racing as a team and I'm here to help the team. I hope to continue to progress and reach the top level in the next few years. I don't know if I'll make it, but that's why I ride."[/su_quote]

Greg Van Avermaet will participate for the fifteenth time in the Tour of Flanders. He has nine top 10 finishes and four podiums (2nd in 2014 and 2017, 3rd in 2015 and 2021).
"The Tour of Flanders is always one of the big goals of my season. I like this race and I have already achieved good results there. I hope I can do even better," says Greg Van Avermaet.
