Dorian Godon wins the Tour de Vendée, Paul Seixas seventh in the Tour of Lombardy

While French champion Dorian Godon won the sprint at the Tour de Vendée, giving the team a new victory - their 26th of the season - Paul Seixas distinguished himself in his first appearance at the Tour of Lombardy, taking a remarkable seventh place.

"I'm proud of what we did today".

"I really enjoyed the race. It was very intense, our rivals set a high pace throughout the race and I had to work hard on each climb to be well placed at the top and come down in good conditions. My team-mates did a lot to help me all day. I couldn't go back alone on the riders in front of me and I was caught by a small group, so I gave it my all right up to the line to get this seventh place. A top 10 on my first Monument is already a very good result. Over the last few weeks, I've turned a corner, both physically and mentally. I've proved to myself that I belong. All the hard work I've put in all season is paying off, and I'm delighted to finish on a high note.

"The finish really suited me".

"It's my second win this week. The finish really suited me, with that sprint over the hump. I tried to save my strength all day and stay calm so I could be out in front in the finish. Noa Isidore did a superb job of replacing me perfectly before the descent. I stayed in the wheels for a while before starting my sprint, as there was a headwind, and that worked out well for me. I'm going to try to recover well before Paris-Tours, because it's a great race and I feel I'm in good shape."
